Welcome to the Glasgow University Staff Golf Club Website
We are an amalgamation of past and present staff from Glasgow University. We are a social golf club that goes on monthly outings, and has competitions open to its members. You do not need to be a serious golfer or even be a member of a golf club to join, and all staff will be made most welcome.

Senate Match
Match took place at Killermont Golf club on Friday 29th of May 2026.
Result: Glasgow 6.5 v 4.5 Aberdeen.

Ancients Match
2026 match took place at Drumoig and Arbroath on Sunday 14th and Monday 15th of June
Day 1 Glasgow 3 v 3 Aberdeen. (Both teams won 10 holes up each). Aberdeen into final after putting contest at Arbroath putting green.
Day 2 (3rd place play off) Glasgow 6 v 0 Edinburgh.
Congratulations to St Andrews who triumphed over Aberdeen in the final.
Edinburgh take home ‘The Nut’.

Match to be played at Harburn on Monday 3rd of August

Competition Results 2025:
Club Championship
Greg Brown and David Sim played the final at Barassie with Greg winning 3&2. Congratulations to Greg who has been in fine form this year, and also to David for an admirable defence of his title.
Gents Singles
The final took place at Williamwood GC between Robert Frame and Zhenbo Cao with Robert coming out on top. Congratulations Robert and well played both players.
Ladies Singles
Anne Terry and Moira Still played the final at Lenzie GC, with Anne winning the Ladies title – Congratulations Anne and well played to both ladies (next time – Moira!).
Fourball
The final was played at Barassie with Chris Hand and Phil Nicholson victorious against the 2023 Champions David Gordon and Calum Hill.
2025 AGM:
AGM took place at The Bothy on Friday 20th of March 2026. Thanks to everyone who attended and made it a really enjoyable evening.
