Glasgow University Staff Golf Club

Welcome to the Glasgow University Staff Golf Club Website

We are an amalgamation of past and present staff from Glasgow University.  We are a social golf club that goes on monthly outings, and has competitions open to its members.  You do not need to be a serious golfer or even be a member of a golf club to join, and all staff will be made most welcome.

Outing Dates for 2021

12th of July – Stirling Golf Club.

28th of July – Cathkin Braes – Joint (all day) outing along with Edinburgh.

11th of August – Leven Links

September – Whitecraigs (TBC)

5th of October – West Kilbride

Competition Results:

2019 Ladies Singles Winner

Congratulations to Lesley Porter, who is the new ladies champion after a close match against Anne Terry, played at Glenbervie.

2019 Gents Singles Winner

Congratulations to Bernie Hoey, who retained the trophy.  In an exciting match against Bruce Robertson, Bernie prevailed on the last hole at Darley, Troon.

2019 4Ball Winners

Congratulations to Craig MacDonell and Cameron McIntyre who defeated Chris Taylor and Campbell Griffith at Glasgow Gailes.  The antipodean duo played some great golf and won on the 17th.

2019 Club Champion

The final is to be played between Michael Stratigos and Bernie Hoey.  It promises to be a cracker!

Outings Eclectic Winner

The 2019 Outings winner is Chris Taylor, with a combined (3 best)  stableford score of 114.  This consisted of 40pts at Gleneagles, 37pts at Lundin Links and 37pts at Dunblane.
